Education & outreach

Abby has instructed dance for eight years in the Atlanta Metropolitan and Athens areas. Along with choreographing ensemble and solo pieces at N-Step Dance Academy, she instructed ballet, jazz, tap, and lyrical classes from 2017-2022. During their 2022-2023 season, Abby taught jazz at DanceFX Athens and hip hop, ballet, and acro at Athens Studio for Performing Arts. She now teaches Broadway jazz, hip hop, ballet, pre-ballet, and creative movement at Athens Studio for Performing Arts.

The University of Georgia recognizes Abby as a CURO (Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities) Researcher with her 2024 presentation of "The Potential of a Dance Classroom; Developing Independent Dancers through Critical Thinking Practices," a year-long research and implementation project involving the enrichment of dance education.
